FEDISA (Pty) Ltd is a private higher education institution registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training in South Africa. The bursary covers the following qualifications:

  1. Diploma in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, and Media: An NQF6 qualification worth 360 credits, spanning three years of full-time studies. The program includes major non-elective courses such as Fashion Buying & Sourcing, Fashion Theory, Visual Merchandising, Marketing & Media, and Fashion Retail Management.
  2. Bachelor of Arts in Fashion: An NQF7 qualification worth 360 credits, spanning three years of full-time studies. The program includes four major courses: Clothing Technology, Lifestyle Studies, Visual Studies, and Business Studies, each with sub-components. It involves a three-week cycle of practical components and weekly rotated theoretical components.The bursary covers part of the tuition fees only. All other expenses, including registration fees, books, kits, resource levies, consumables, transport, accommodation, and living expenses, are the responsibility of the students.Bursary Selection:

    The judges will select two winners, one for studies in Cape Town and one for Johannesburg. The judges’ decision is final, and the winners will be notified and announced on September 30, 2021, through telephone, email, and social media. If the bursary prize is not claimed within seven working days, a runner-up will be selected. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash or other items.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    To be eligible for the FEDISA Future Vision Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Be a South African citizen and resident.
    • Have completed Matric or currently be in Matric.
    • Achieve a Bachelor pass or a Diploma pass in Matric.
    • Be interested in pursuing a career in fashion (e.g., fashion designer, fashion buyer, fashion stylist, fashion editor).
    • Meet the entrance criteria for the BA Degree in Fashion Design/Diploma in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, and Media at FEDISA.

      • Description of your conceptual and creative process, innovation, style, materials used, inspiration for your styling design, and where you found your materials (maximum 500 words)
      • Motivational letter explaining why you wish to study at FEDISA Fashion School, your chosen course of study, and why you deserve the bursary (maximum 500 words)
