As part of the SNG Thornton IT Audit Trainee Programme, the successful candidate is expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Acquire an operational understanding of the Firm’s various internal processes and procedures relevant to the role e.g. managing timesheets, billing, and debtors
- Determine project goals and plans along with scheduled activities
- Manage and facilitate projects and resources to achieved desired results
- Execute controls to preserve process and data integrity
- Apply controls to enhance business processes and systems security in areas of the business considered as high risk
- Gain extensive knowledge of best practices and guidelines in IT
Who should apply?
Aspiring candidates will need to satisfy the following minimum eligibility requirements to apply:
- Holds a BCom, BTech, or BSc degree in Accounting
- Although work experience is not a requirement, those with up to 2 years experience as an IT Auditor are encouraged to apply
- Possesses basic knowledge in general IT controls supported by IT systems
- Operates with a basic knowledge of analytics high-risk areas and application control reviews
- Knowledgeable with IT procedures and policies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
