If you have a passion for accounting and dream of pursuing a career in the field, KPMG is here to support your journey. KPMG offers bursaries to students who demonstrate exceptional merit or financial need. To apply for a KPMG Bursary, you must first apply for a training contract, which you can do by visiting the button provided on our website. Bursary contracts are subject to entering into a learnership (training contract) with KPMG after completing your studies at a SAICA-accredited university and obtaining a CTA/PGDA qualification.
When applying for a training contract, you will need to submit the following documentation:
- Proof of South African Citizenship (Certified ID copy)
- Full academic history
- Matric results
- Updated curriculum vitae
If you already have a training contract or have applied and received a Taleo reference number, you can proceed to apply for a KPMG Bursary by clicking the button below the article. For an optimal application experience, we recommend using Google Chrome on a PC or laptop.
KPMG offers two types of bursaries:
- Pure Merit Bursary: Suitable if you do not require extensive funding for your studies.
- Merit Bursary with Financial Need: Appropriate if you require significant funding without which attending university would be challenging.
Required Documentation for University Students:
- Identity document of the student
- Certified copy of matric certificate
- Latest academic record
- Proof of student registration
- Updated fee statement
Required Documentation for Matric or Grade 11 Scholars:
- Identity document of the learner
- Latest term report
- University provisional acceptance letter/agreement (only if in matric)
Additional Documentation for Merit Bursary with Financial Need:
- Payslips for both parents/guardians
- 3 months’ bank statements for both parents/guardians
- Recent utility bill (water and electricity, cell phone, etc.)
It is important to note that KPMG reserves the right to determine whether you qualify for the Pure Merit Bursary or the Merit Bursary with Financial Need, as well as the amount awarded. Subsequent bursary awards and amounts will be contingent upon your satisfactory progress and the availability of funds.
